چکیده
Budd Chiari syndrome (BCS) is a hepatic vascular disorder which affects veins or inferior vena cava. Portal vein thrombosis (PVT) occurs in around 15%-25% of patients with BCS. The presence PVT BCS makes it more difficult to intervene radiologically. We present case BCS-related chronic liver disease that presented history variceal upper gastrointestinal bleeding and worsening ascites. patient had thrombosed (HV) partial right portal thrombosis. He was started on anticoagulation, the treatment for hypertension initiated. Given inaccessibility all HVs trans-jugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunts (TIPS), underwent direct (DIPS). Next-generation sequencing identified factor V Leiden mutation. Following DIPS patient's ascites disappeared, function tests improved. On nine-month follow-up, symptom-free patent DIPS. has been widely used veins, but there are only few reports feasibility PVT. This one very where BCS-PVT successfully managed

Budd-Chiari syndrome treated with transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt.
Transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS) is a new treatment modality in patients of intractable ascites with Budd-Chiari syndrome. We report a young lady who presented with intractable ascites and encephalopathy and diagnosed to have Budd-Chiari syndrome. She was treated with TIPS and on follow-up after 12 months she is free of ascites, encephalopathy and able to perform her daily w...
متن کاملDirect intrahepatic portocaval shunt for treatment of portal thrombosis and Budd-Chiari syndrome.
Budd-Chiari syndrome (BCS) refers to hepatic venous outflow obstruction that in severe cases can lead to acute liver failure prompting consideration of revascularization or transplantation. Here, a 22 year old female with angiographically proven BCS secondary to JAK2/V617F positive Polycythemia vera on therapeutic warfarin presented with acute liver failure (ALF). Imaging revealed a new, near c...

We report a four year old boy who presented with liver failure secondary to anti-thrombin III deficiency related Budd Chiari syndrome. He was treated with TIPSS (transjugular intrahepatic porto systemic shunt) which reversed the encephalopathy, normalised the liver function and improved growth, pre-empting the need for a liver transplantation. This is the first reported case of TIPSS in a child...
متن کاملBiliary Obstruction After Transjugular Intrahepatic Portosystemic Shunt Placement in a Patient With Budd-Chiari Syndrome
A 20-year-old male presented with 2 months of progressive abdominal distension due to ascites and Budd-Chiari syndrome. He underwent transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS) placement, but soon after had elevated liver enzymes. MRCP revealed mild left intrahepatic biliary dilatation without stones or obvious stricture. Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) demonstrat...
متن کاملAcute partial Budd-Chiari syndrome and portal vein thrombosis in cytomegalovirus primary infection: a case report
BACKGROUND Splanchnic vein thrombosis may complicate inherited thrombotic disorders. Acute cytomegalovirus infection is a rare cause of acquired venous thrombosis in the portal or mesenteric territory, but has never been described extending into a main hepatic vein. CASE PRESENTATION A 36-year-old immunocompetent woman presented with acute primary cytomegalovirus infection in association with...
